This 1937 footage featured Bob Nolan, Tim Spencer and the founder of the Sons of the Pioneer, Leonard Slye. A year later Leonard Slye signed with Republic Pictures, left the Sons of the Pioneers and changed his name to Roy Rogers. Slye is part of the singing trio, on the right, playing guitar.
